Kuala Lumpur...Are you REALLY ready for this?

Today has been an AMAZING day! Carrie and I were up bright and early to begin our explorations of Kuala Lumpur. We chose the Batu Caves as a starting point. There are a series of 4 caves devoted to the Hindu religion and worship. It was INCREDIBLE! While there we also toured a reptile museum, and for those of you that know me....I am not a fan :) It was also very interesting...we even got to hold a giant iguana...pictures will be posted to check out of course!
We decided to head out after the caves and made our way to the taxi area...where we chose a driver, he gave us a great deal..."Great deal for pretty ladies!" The best part was...the car had to be pushed to start. So, all the cab drivers start pushing the car around the parking lot before Carrie and I get in. Absolutely HILARIOUS!
Roger (our cab driver) was even nice enough to drive us around to other places, like the Orang Asli museum and village, a silk hand-painting factory and a pewter manufacturing facility. This was of course included in our "great deal" :)
Carrie and I are absolutely loving all the attention we get here as well. When we walked out of our hostel this morning people whipped out their cellphone cameras to start snapping our picture. Oh yeah, and at the Orang Asli museum a news reporter was photographing us paparazzi style...from behind corners. It was pretty interesting to say the least.
We will be checking out Chinatown tonight and then it will be early to bed for these world travelers! (We decided to pass up on free ladies night at the bar with Roger...moms- it was less than 50 and we just don't do that)  ;)
