Carrie and Myriam rode the elephant into the water and I met them at the bottom for a nice swim! We spent almost 30 minutes playing with 2 baby elephants and their mom-it was incredible! We got to wash the elephants and it was so cool to feel their skin and ears! They really do have thick, course skin and their hair is super-prickly! Feels like they haven't shaved in WEEKS!
Afterwards, the guide came up to us (he felt bad about not letting me ride down into the water) and offered to let us ride the elephant OUT of the water and back to their post. This meant that we had to climb onto the elephant while in the water...not an easy task! After we got on they handed us the rope and we were on our way! Obviously they DIDN'T check our driving records, because we did this without a guide and completely on our own!
The elephant was rocking as she walked, which made it difficult to stay on, but we couldn't resist waving to the camera! We miss you all bunches!

Careful Carrie! NEVER inhale when operating a blow gun. Sam: They would never have let U "drive" an elephant if they knew your driving record!! Dad
