This morning, we had the wonderful opportunity to meet the Deputy Minister of Education, Datuk Ir. Haji Idris bin Haji Haron. It really was a HUGE deal, with press and everything! As he arrived, everyone stood up and they had all of us line up to greet him as he entered.
Yesterday we had a Malay language course, where we learned some basic conversational words.
Carrie, tries to be all smooth and whips out her mad Malay skills: "Selamat Peggi!"
The Deputy MInister replies, "Hello Peggy...nice to meet you. How are you today?"
Carrie says, "I was tyring to say good morning...my name is Carrie"
"Oh, you mean Selamat Pagi?!"
The whole room laughs...poor Carrie :(
It's stuff like this that makes us love her sooooo much!
and stuff like her waking me up at midnight because a 2-inch cockroach is in her bed! AHHHH!

a little thing... miss I'm afraid of a silly little cricket! I'd swim in a pool of crickets compared to waking up with a HUGE cockroach on my leg! Talk about disturbing! It's all good though I got my revenge last night and killed that sucker! :)
